Day 1: Adiu !
Let’s start our immersion in the heart of the Occitanie region to discover the many wonders it contains.
It should be forbidden not to visit Toulouse… The pink city is waiting for us for a visit of its most beautiful places and must-see places. Accompanied by a guide, let’s listen to all the stories and secrets that this city has to reveal.
Day 2: The charm of Larzac
Now off to the Causse du Larzac, where history and landscapes await us. This day promises to be rich in discoveries so let’s not waste another moment!
On the hiking path of the famous Causse du Larzac and towards the oppidum which dominates Millau, we progress along ledges with breathtaking panoramas which offer a unique view on the viaduct and its surroundings.
Let’s go riding on the paths found between Causses and Cevennes and admire the landscapes and historical sites of this place. The perfect opportunity to enjoy every moment, at the rhythm of our horse.
Day 3: The wonders of Occitanie
Today, we are going to explore some wonderful places. We will enjoy the sights that nature has to offer, and take the time to savor every moment that this excursion has to offer.
To say that the Aven Armand cave is among the most beautiful in the world would not be enough to describe this masterpiece of nature. Our visit in its heart will be a moment frozen in time that will leave us with stars in our eyes…
“Sublime”, this point of view is it, without any doubt. Let’s go to the most grandiose panorama of the Gorges du Tarn. Here, let’s admire the succession of Gorges and the steep cliffs of the Causse Méjean, creating a magnificent picture worthy of the greatest artists.
Day 4: The joys of wine
Sport and wine tasting are on the program. Let’s spend this day going through the wonderful landscapes of the Hérault and enjoying the pleasures of the vines…
Let’s escape to the heart of the great site of Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, during a canoe-kayak trip and discover the gorges of the Hérault through multiple sites and landscapes that contain tales and legends.
Sylvain is a seasoned winemaker who has a rare understanding of his land, which gives his wines incredible specificities. Let’s take advantage of his experience during a tasting to discover all the subtleties of this wine…
Day 5: Salty air
Come and meet places that combine singularity and beauty. The day’s excursions will surely be an initiation for some, but will in any case be a real experience.
Between ride and discovery, the velorail of the Canal du Midi offers us an unusual journey in time. On board a bicycle running on an old railroad, let’s ride through the landscapes of Occitanie between vineyards and olive trees and discover all the wonders that are hidden there.
Head to Leucate to fill up on iodized flavors. On a terrace at the water’s edge, Nicolas and Pascale share their passion with us through an oyster tasting: an exceptional culinary experience guaranteed!
The day ends in beauty in the natural setting of the Llo baths. A true temple of well-being with unique experiences… The ideal place to recharge our batteries.
Day 6: Discoveries at every step
Today, let’s hike on the heights of the Pyrenean massif and discover the sumptuous fauna and flora as well as the fabulous landscapes of a preserved natural site.
This morning, we escape to the Pyrenean mountains. Located in a classified natural site, the lake of Bouillouses is of great notoriety and offers exceptional landscapes, between ponds and rivers, accompanied by the local fauna.
The day continues with a hike to the Lake of Aude. On the program, superb panoramas on the surrounding mountains and magnificent landscapes at the top.
Day 7: Authentic experiences
Let’s live a traditional experience in the heart of the Pyrenees-Orientales thanks to a sumptuous place and a mean of transport which will also make us travel in time…
This morning, let’s go to the abbey of Saint Martin du Canigou, a thousand-year-old abbey located in an exceptional and grandiose site. A real jewel of the first art with a sumptuous decor, which will not leave us indifferent!
Let’s go to Font-Romeu in an original, authentic and poetic way: the yellow train. A true emblem of the region, it has been crisscrossing the Pyrenees-Orientales for over a century. Here is a concentrate of Catalan charm worthy of the most beautiful postcards.
Day 8: Delicious history
Last findings in Occitan land. The menu of the day mixes history, crafts and oenology for a tasty mix of discoveries…
Let’s go to the heights of the village of Cucugnan, for an instructive visit of the Omer mill. Appreciate the history of the mill and discover the real and natural flavors during a tasting.
Head to the Château du Grand Caumont, located in the heart of the Corbières. Here, Laurence warmly welcomes us to her estate to discover the heritage of the Corbières and the rich history of this castle, while tasting pleasant wines.
Carcassonne is the next to open its doors and tell us its past… Nothing better than a guided tour to discover the secrets of this medieval city full of history.
Day 9: A perfect loop
We are back in the city where it all began: Toulouse. It’s time to say goodbye to the Occitanie region, and see you soon.
